You’re better off ‘cos we’re screwing you

You’ve got to love how much of a lying weasel John Howard is when he talks about WorkChoices. He wants to have it both ways. He tells us WorkChoices is good for us because we can negotiate a better outcome for ourselves and on behalf of our kids. But then he trys to tell us he’s keeping inflation and interest rates low because WorkChoices is keeping ‘wages under control’. So which is it? Is it leading to people getting paid more, or is it leading to people getting paid less? I’ll tell you.

Do you really think that if Labor wins the election they will get rid of the WorkChoices laws, and if so how soon would it happen?? I am lucky enough to have not experience the changes directly as they came in after I left Australia, but they sound a complete nightmare! I just wonder if the WorkChoices will be like the GST where it was an election promise to not bring it in, and then another to get rid off it when the Government changed and it is still around…I hope not!

I think they will go part way. and if the Greens have the balance of power, which they may have in 6 months time (when the new senate begins) they will probably force Rudd to get rid of it completely. The unions and Rudd himself have been very careful not to say too much on workchoices, i suspect so they can win and not spook the electorate – well hopefully. it would be a tragedy if rudd was actually as conservative as he really seems!!!!!!!!
